Richmond, Kentucky native and former Madison Southern running back, Damien Harris, was taken by the New England Patriots with the 87th overall pick in the NFL Draft.
He played at Alabama where ran for over 3,000 yards in his career and 23 touchdowns. He also came out of the backfield to catch 407 yards worth of passes for two more touchdowns. Harris was also won three SEC Championships and two National Championships with the Crimson Tide.
The Patriots are stacked at the position with Sony Michel, James White and Rex Burkhead.
