KSU Athletics Summer Camps Announced

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State University athletic department has announced some camps for the upcoming summer. Three teams – volleyball, women’s basketball and men’s basketball – will be hosting camps in the William Exum Center on the KSU campus.

Volleyball, led by head coach DiShondra Goree, will be holding four different camps. The Thorobreds will have two camps for kids ages 6 to 10, a one-day camp from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 25. The one day camp will be $25. Kids 6 to 10 will have two-day camp option from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 19 and July 20. The two-day option is $50.

Another two-day camp, for student-athletes 11-18, will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 8 and June 9. The final camp, a one-day option from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 10, will be for kids ages 5 to 18. Both camps are $50.

The Coach Jamaal Jackson Basketball Camp will be held from June 25 to June 28 for kids ages 7 to 14, and not entering the eighth grade. The camps is $100 per camper, but there is an early bird payment of $75 if paid by June 1.

The Terrance Slater Women’s Basketball Camp will have three individual and one team sessions. The kids camps (ages 6 to 12, coed) is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 17 & June 18; a teenage camp (ages 12 to 17, coed) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19 and June 20; and an Elite Camp 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 3. The two-day team camp is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 21 and June 22.
