FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Scott County product Billy Tom Sargent tied for 11th this weekend in the NCAA Golf Championships. He’s the first Western Kentucky golfer to compete in the tournament.
The redshirt senior Sargent was tied for the lead for much of Friday’s morning session and finished his opening round tied for sixth following a 1-under 71 – just four shots off the lead.
Sargent finished by shooting an even-par 72 to finish at +3.
