LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky Basketball Coach, John Calipari, has won the SEC's regular season title five times. The SEC Media members expect it to happen again by voting for UK to win this year's regular season crown.

The Wildcats will be looking to win their 49th overall regular season title and it's the 15th time UK has been expected to win since the 1998-99 season.

The Wildcats also had three players on the preseason All-SEC teams. Sophomore guard, Ashton Hagans, was selected to be on the first team, freshman guard, Tyrese Maxey and sophomore forward E.J. Montgomery were 2nd team picks. Hagans also received at least one vote for the preseason Player of the Year.

Hagans and Montgomery are scheduled to appear at the SEC Media Tipoff in Birmingham on Wednesday.

Kentucky opens the season with a trip to New York City to face Michigan State on November 5th.
