Transylvania volleyball wins first-ever NCAA Tournament game

ATLANTA, Ga. — For the first time in school history the Transylvania volleyball team won a game in the NCAA Tournament. 5th seeded Pioneers came back to beat 4th seeded Birmingham-Southern 23-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-15.

Transylvania was led by Jordan Home's 22 kills while Hannah Talkers matched her season-high with 52 assists and added 15 digs, three blocks, and two kills in the historic win. Transylvania improved to 28-4 overall, extending its program-record winning streak to 14 matches.

No. 20 Transylvania advances to the second round of the tournament to take on #1 seed and host Emory University Saturday at 5:00 p.m. down in Atlanta.
