LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky football’s promotional schedule has been announced for the Wildcats’ eight home games at Kroger Field in 2019.

UK – fresh off a 10-3 season that culminated in a VRBO Citrus Bowl championship – will be seeking to build on the program’s most successful year in four decades. Kentucky has now tied or exceeded its win total from the previous season in every year of Mark Stoops’ tenure in Lexington, which began in 2013.

The Wildcats will face an attractive though challenging schedule in 2019. Southeastern Conference foes Florida, Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee will visit Lexington and the regular season will conclude when UK seeks to defend the Governor’s Cup against rival Louisville.

Toledo – Aug. 31 at noon

UK will welcome Toledo to Kroger Field for both teams’ season opener on Aug. 31. The game will also mark Houston Hogg Day, as UK football will celebrate one of the four men who broke the color barrier in SEC football. A statue honoring Hogg, along with fellow trailblazers Nate Northington, Greg Page and Wilbur Hackett, stands outside the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.

The season opener will also be Dance Day. More information about the event will be announced soon.

Eastern Michigan – Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

UK Athletics is proud to honor all active and reserve members of the armed forces along with police, firefighters and first responders on Heroes’ Day. Among the tentative plans for Heroes’ Day are a football-field sized American flag for the national anthem, which will be presented by the UK Air Force ROTC and UK Army ROTC, recognition of personnel throughout the game and military VIPs in attendance. The Wildcat Marching Band will also perform at halftime accompanied by pyrotechnics, paying special tribute to military.

Through a new partnership with GovX, UK Athletics is pleased to offer members of Heroes’ Day groups one complimentary ticket to the game in addition to specially priced guest tickets by purchasing at UKathletics.com/GovX, while supplies last.
