LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — If you haven't heard about Britt Blanton and Dianna Muncy-Blanton getting married over the weekend, you're late to the ballgame. Not just any game, the couple from Harlan County tied the knot during halftime at the Kentucky-Tennessee game Saturday night at Kroger Field.

There was really no other place the couple wanted to get hitched. Britt Blanton said they decided several months ago to wed at the game and brought their friend, a pastor, to officiate the half-time ceremony in section 108.

The newlyweds were still excited talking to LEX 18 by FACETIME from their home in Harlan, "I told everybody we're getting married, we're getting married." Dianna added, "They didn't want to believe us, then we showed them the ring and they said, 'There's going to be wedding.'

With cameras recording and flashing all around them the Blantons said their vows.

Even though the Cats lost to Tennessee, Britt Blanton, who works in maintenance at Harlan County High School, left with a victory. "I walked out of Kroger Field in my Kentucky blue, supporting my team and I left a winner."
