LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky leads Georgetown at the half of its first exhibition game, 43-25.
The Wildcats got a fast start in the first ten minutes thanks to the play of Immanuel Quickley. He hit his first three shots and all of them were three pointers. Quckley added two rebounds and an assist to go with several free throws and he had a quick 12 points. Hagans was also active with three quick steals, two of them leading to dunks on the other end.
Kentucky led it 11-0 before Georgetown finally scored on a Chris Coffey follow up off a Tigers missed shot. As far as the Kentucky big guys go, E.J. Montgomery hit a three pointer, Nick Richards hit both of his shots for 4 points and had a team-high 5 rebounds at the break, Nate Sestina also hit a three and had a team-high 5 rebounds.
Georgetown was led in the first half by Jake Ohmer. He was 6 of 11 from the field and had 15 of the Tigers 25 points. Georgetown finished the half on a 12-2 run to cut the UK halftime lead to 43-25. UK shot 6-11 from three point range for 46% and 7-11 from the free throw line for 67 percent.
