So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye! That stalled upper low that's hung around all week finally gets up and goes Friday throwing one last parting shot of scattered showers and storms our way, mainly over eastern Kentucky... good riddance to that meteorological misery maker. We're trading one type of unsettled weather for another heading into your Memorial Day weekend. Highs will climb into the 70s Friday then top out and hover in the low to mid 80s the rest of the weekend and into next week. A very summery pattern is taking over but with above average warmth comes a daily chance for scattered showers and storms firing in the heat of the day and diminishing overnight. Plan accordingly.
