Summer tightens its hot & muggy grip Tuesday. High pressure anchored southeast will keep heat & humidity entrenched across the Commonwealth with highs in the upper 80s to around 90° south. Watch for a few to scattered afternoon showers and t-showers that will diminish after sunset. This pattern persists the rest of the week with a similar steamy and stormy set-up through Independence Day.
