High pressure down south will keep it dry & quiet in the Commonwealth midweek, expect sunshine and highs in the 60s Wednesday & Thursday. Building & lowering clouds plus a northeast wind shift Friday will be our heads up for an approaching weekend system. Widespread, soaking and at times heavy rain will develop starting Friday night, peaking Saturday and winding down Sunday. Potential weekend rainfall totals could be measured in inches with this round.
