That was the hottest start to October on record. Lexington soared to the upper 90s again Tuesday, setting a new record high for October first and a new all-time maximum high for the month. Wednesday, we do it all over again. Our late September, early October heat wave peaks today with record highs in the mid to upper 90s likely. Expect a dry cold front to knock highs down to the low 90s Thursday, just in time to cool it down significantly for the weekend. Seasonable highs in the low to mid 70s with sunshine will start off the weekend and the Keeneland Fall Meet in spectacular fashion!
