UK set to welcome service members, first responders

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The University of Kentucky is excited for its annual Heroes’ Day, which is set for this Saturday, September 7th at Kroger Field.

“It’s one of our really favorite days of the year,” said Guy Ramsey, the Director of Strategic Communications at UK.

Active or reserve members of the military, and first responders will be eligible to claim one free ticket to the game. In addition, the University has several events and tributes planned to honor those who serve, which will take place throughout the game. And the free ticket this weekend isn’t the only perk the university is offering this season. “That partnership extends all year long, Ramsey added. Those service members have a chance to get specially priced tickets throughout the season.”
