A gusty (25 to 35 mph) southwest wind will send highs soaring to around 80° Tuesday, near record levels that will persist through midweek. Along with the unseasonable warmth, we'll see an increasing chance for active weather with rounds of showers and storms inbound later this week. The primary severe threat is farther north across the Great Lakes states but we'll need to watch for strong storms and heavy rain, especially into the weekend.
