After a beautiful finish to the weekend across Central and Eastern Kentucky with sunshine, comfortable temperatures and low humidity levels, we are in store for more of the same to kick off the week on Monday. With high pressure building in from the northwest, looks for more sun, low humidity and afternoon highs into the low 80s. You'll definitely want to spend some time outdoors if you can on Monday!
More good weather is on the way for Tuesday with sunshine and highs a tick warmer into the low to mid-80s. By Wednesday some energy may rotate in from the west, so a low end shower/storms chance can't be ruled out. A better shot may come along a weak front Thursday so you may need the umbrella then briefly. Afternoon highs will be warmer into the mid to upper 80s.
Once the front clears, we'll be in good shape as we close out the week and head into the final weekend of August. It should another great night for high school football and a delightful weekend for outdoor activities. Under mostly sunny skies, highs should reach the mid to upper-80s, which is right around average for the end of the month. We could see another shower/storm chance as we close out August next Monday.
