Merry Christmas! It's not quite the scene from A Christmas Story, but it is a true by every definition white Christmas in the Bluegrass and the first since 2010. Heavy snow fell in the east with lesser amounts in central Kentucky. Travel will be impacted today with the snow with treated and plowed roads OK. Secondary, neighborhood and untreated roads will remain snow covered and icy making travel difficult. With the heavy snow in parts of eastern Kentucky travel may be difficult or impossible today.
It's also very cold with highs in the low 20s making this one of our top 10 coldest Christmases with wind chills staying in the single digits. Still, enjoy the holiday!
