There is a nearly full lunar eclipse tonight. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and Moon and is on the day of the full moon. Tonight is the full sturgeon moon and the eclipse starts about 10:30 and peaks just after midnight with a 96% coverage.
