After that widespread soaker to start the work week (1" to 3") the rain backs off Tuesday. Expect partly sunny skies with highs in the 50s, pushing 60° way down south. Next up- a quick hit of rain to snow Wednesday. It's late enough in the day that the initial rain/snow mix at onset in the late afternoon will transition to light snow later in the evening. We could pick up anywhere from 0.5" to 1.5" with the highest totals along and north of I-64. Watch for slick spots on the roads as colder air filters in Wednesday night which could lead to a slow Thursday morning commute.
