The ice storm is over but we'll see lingering issues into the weekend with a deep freeze just around the corner. Friday will end up mostly cloudy and cold with highs around freezing. Even with limited sunshine falling ice could be a problem in the afternoon. Also watch for ice covered and hazardous roads. A weak ripple of low pressure will spark light freezing rain and drizzle Saturday. Cold air deepens as a record setting Arctic airmass clamps down on the Central U.S. early next week- we'll run the eastern edge of it with highs well below freezing and single digit lows. Throw a couple of rounds of active weather into air that cold and our chance for more mixed precipitation and accumulating snow rises Monday/Tuesday and again later in the week.
