Brace for early March meteorological madness, this weekend's pulling a weather 180! We'll start off cloudy, gusty, colder and feeling raw thanks to low pressure over the Great Lakes. Highs will struggle to hit the low 40s Friday with a few morning rain/snow showers. A winter weather advisory is in effect Friday through Saturday morning for accumulating snow at higher elevations (2" to 4" above 2000 feet) of Harlan and Letcher county. Clouds clear overnight and lows will tank in the 20s Saturday morning. Midway through the weekend another warm up cranks up. Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs around average, in the low 50s. Sunday will spike in the low 60s, still dry and partly sunny.

Unseasonable early spring warmth on the heels of a very mild winter has some trees & flowers starting to bloom early. Above average highs will continue to dominate next week with much of it in the 60s and lows staying above freezing.
