LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — Update: 9/14/26 at 11:30 a.m.
Diego Gomez-Jimenez, a 34-year-old Richmond man, has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on Interstate 75 in Fayette County on Friday night, according to the Fayette County Coroner's Office.
The crash happened around 9:50 p.m. near the 102-mile marker on Interstate 75 North. The coroner's office said Gomez-Jimenez was struck by multiple vehicles while on the interstate.
Officials said Gomez-Jimenez died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries sustained in the collision. His death was ruled an accident.

According to Lexington Police, a pedestrian was hit by multiple vehicles just before 9 p.m. That adult was later pronounced dead on scene.
No charges are expected. I-75 northbound has reopened.
