CLEVELAND, Ohio (LEX 18) — The Kentucky Wildcats dropped their fifth straight game after losing to the No. 22 North Carolina Tar Heels 75-63 at the CBS Sports Classic in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Tar Heels used their size advantage to pull away from the Wildcats late in the second half. Davion Mintz and Brandon Boston Jr. led the Wildcats in scoring.
Kentucky dealt with foul trouble throughout the game. Olivier Sarr, Isaiah Jackson, Lance Ware, Terrence Clark all fouled out in the second half.
Kentucky had the lead at halftime 38-34.
The Cats are now 1-5 on the season.
Kentucky will play next at Louisville on December 26th.
