MOREHEAD, Ky. — Morehead State's Johni Broome continues to impress and make a name for himself in the Ohio Valley Conference. On Monday, he was named the league's Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this season.
On Saturday, Broome scored 22 points while pulling down a career-high 13 rebounds in a 74-55 win over Tennessee Tech. That was the Eagles ninth straight victory. On Thursday, he added 11 points and 6 rebounds in an 85-66 victory over Jacksonville State.
Broome and the Eagles look to continue both of their hot starts to the 2021 part of the schedule with home games against Murray State on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday against Austin Peay at 4:00 p.m.
