ATLANTA, Ga. — Centre College ran into an opponent that had a hard time missing as the Colonels fell to Pomona-Pitzer 84-64 in the first round of the Division III Tournament in Atlanta.
The Sagehens hit 57% from the field and drained 11 of 18 three pointers. Pomona-Pitzer hit five of its first eight shots from behind the arc in the first half.
Perry Ayers led the Colonels with 19 points in his final game for Centre. Jakob Spitzer added 15 points while Jacob Bates had 11. The Colonels season ends with a 24-5 record.
