EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Eastern Kentucky saw its run in the OVC Tournament come to an end at the hands of No. 1 seed Belmont in the semifinals, 60-50.

The Colonels were led by Russhard Cruickshank's 15 points as he hit four 3 pointers. Jomaru Brown added 12 points and 9 rebounds.

EKU made a couple of second half runs to cut the deficit to seven on a couple of occasions. The Bruins continually pushed the lead more out of reach and it ends the Colonels season at 16-17. There's a lot of promis for next season though as everyone except Lachlan Anderson and Ty Taylor returns for coach A.W. Hamilton.

The Colonels finished the regular season OVC schedule with a 12-and-6 mark.
