RICHMOND, Ky. — The Eastern Kentucky women's basketball team completed a regular season sweep of rival Morehead St. by beating the Eagles 79-54 on Monday night just three days apart.
EKU Freshman Alice Recanati had a game-high 17 points to go with nine rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots. Jayla Johnson added 16 points and Kendall Wingler chipped in with 11 points, 8 rebounds.
Jazzmyn Elston led Morehead State with 14 points.
Eastern improves to 2-2 overall, 2-0 in the OVC. Next up for the Colonels play at Chattanooga on Friday at 4 p.m.
Morehead St. drops to 0-3 overall, 0-2 in league play. The Eagles play at home on Saturday at Noon against Bowling Green.
