RICHMOND, Ky. — Eastern Kentucky's Tre King has been named OVC Player of the Week for the third time this season. This time it was shared with Belmont guard Ben Sheppard.
The Colonels only played one game this past week and the Lexington native stepped up to help EKU knock off Eastern Illinois 93-85 in overtime. King had 24 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocked shots.
King currently ranks 2nd in the OVC in both scoring with 18 per game and rebounding with 8 per outing.
He shared this week’s honor with Belmont guard Ben Sheppard.
The Colonels return home to host UT Martin (January 21) and Southeast Missouri (January 23) this week.
