NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — The PGA released its remaining schedule and the 2020 Barbasol Championship is not a part of it.

The tournament at Champions at Keene Trace has been cancelled but plans to return in July of 2021. Instead the PGA will move the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio to the July 13-19 date.

The Barbasol Championship was set to be played in Nicholasville for the third straight year. Troy Merritt won the first tournament played after the tournament was moved from Alabama to Kentucky. Jim Herman won the the title last year.

The tournament has also seen a lot of local talent who attended the University of Kentucky, former Henry Clay and Morehead State golfer, Josh Teater, LPGA golfer Brittany Lincicome and big hitter John Daly.

There was also a junior tournament that was set to debut this year. It has also been cancelled.

The Barbasol expects to be back in 2021 with the date set for July 15-18.
