RICHMOND, Ind. — Transylvania moved into a three-way tie in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 90-71 win at Earlham on Wednesday night. It was the 6th straight win for Brian Lane's squad.
The Pioneers were led by two players who combined for 46 points. Gabe Schmitt led Transy with 26 points while shooting 10-for-15 from the field. Lucas Gentry added 20 points and 11 rebounds as he recorded his second double-double of the season.
Transylvania improves to 13-7 overall, 9-4 in the HCAC. Meantime, the Quakers dropped to 7-13, 3-10.
The Pioneers return home to play Rose-Hulman. The game is set for a 3:00 p.m. start at the Beck Center as part of a double-header with the women who play at 1:00 p.m.
