LEX 18 was in the courtroom Monday morning, where 47-year-old Jesus Reyes Rodriguez appeared for a preliminary hearing for evidence tampering charges in connection with the murder and presumed murder of two Lexington teens.
According to a LEX 18 crew, the case was sent to a grand jury, and testimony tied Rodriguez to two vehicles.
LEX 18 also learned that Rodriguez's 17-year-old son is charged with murder in the case.

A teenager has been charged with evidence tampering of a vehicle connected to the search for two missing teenagers.
In a press release, Lexington Police reported that the teenager, along with 47-year-old Jesus Reyes Rodriguez, was taken into police custody on Thursday. Police report that the two were "charged in connection with the vehicle."
The vehicle was located Thursday at Loradale Market, where Rodriguez owns and works.
The search for the two teens, Aoun Ismail Basboos, 15, and Ali Haider Naqvi, 16, continues.
Multiple agencies are involved in the investigation, including: FBI, Kentucky State Police, Homeland Security Investigations, Nicholasville Police Department, Paris Police Department, Georgetown Police Department, Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Lexington Fire Department, and Fayette County Public School Law Enforcement.

The owner of a northern Fayette County business is now in police custody after he allegedly tampered with physical evidence in connection to an "ongoing police investigation."
According to an arrest citation, 47-year-old Jesus Reyes Rodriguez, the owner and employee of the Loradale Market, was arrested Thursday for "intentionally tamper(ing) with physical evidence" in connection to the investigation.
The evidence, police report, was found to be concealed on the property and was destroyed in "plain view of the business" where Rodriguez works daily.

No human remains were located at a northern Fayette County business on Thursday, Coroner Gary Ginn reports.
Police responded to Loradale Market in Fayette County Thursday afternoon, with the coroner arriving soon after. Authorities were on scene to serve a search warrant in connection to a criminal investigation, Lexington Police said.
"My deputy and I have responded and we've done a thorough investigation a thorough search and we have found nothing to substantiate human remains being found here," Ginn said.
Ginn reports that police are actively searching for remains, however.
Another vehicle was also taken into custody following the search.

According to Lexington Police, crews remain on scene serving a search warrant in connection to a criminal investigation.

According to a LEX 18 crew on scene, the Fayette County Coroner has arrived to a northern Fayette County business.
The business, Loradale Market, is located on Russell Cave Road. A large police presence is also at the location.
