PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — A second man's body was pulled from Lake Cumberland over the weekend, according to the Pulaski County Coroner's Office.
About two hours after a man's body was recovered from the lake in Russell County, another man's body was pulled from the lake in Pulaski County in the area of Pitman Creek.
The coroner's office said Ricky Turner, 66, of London, jumped off a boat Saturday and did not resurface.
The Somerset Pulaski County Rescue Squad searched for Turner Saturday before calling off the search that night. His body was found around noon Sunday.
Turner's cause of death has not been confirmed, but it is being investigated as a drowning.
Andy W. Schmidt, 42, of Lexington, the man found by the Russell County Search & Rescue team, was confirmed to have drowned. His toxicology results are pending.
The incidents do not appear to be related.
