LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Following a pair of wins over Georgia and Texas Tech, Kentucky jumped up to No. 13 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll. The Wildcats jumped two spots from last week.
The Wildcats completed a season sweep of Georgia, beating the Bulldogs 89-79 last Tuesday in Rupp Arena. Kentucky then traveled to Lubbock, Texas on Saturday and escaped with a 76-74 victory over then No. 18 Texas Tech.
Baylor remains atop the AP poll, followed by Gonzaga, Kansas, San Diego State and Florida State. Louisville comes in at No. 6.
Auburn (No. 17) and LSU (No. 22) are the only other SEC schools appearing in the top 25.
Kentucky hosts Vanderbilt (8-11, 0-6 SEC) on Wednesday before traveling to play Auburn (17-2, 4-2 SEC) on Saturday. College GameDay will be hosted at Auburn Arena for the SEC showdown.
